Hi Chris ,

i'm using PowerVP for one year now, i recently update to SP6 , both GUI and partitions agents,

i have a problem visualising partitions details , clicking on an Ibm i lpar, i can't obtain disk / eth values , nothing moves

it works perfectly on another lpar managed by the same VIO, i used same conf / installation on Ibm i lpar V7R2

i had this problem randomly with pvp 1.1.3 with no SP

thanks for your advices,

Regards,

JM

Hi, I'm not sure what the problem could be. Please open a PMR.

Hi Chris, have not seen this one. I recommend you open a PMR for it. Support will need to get the log files from C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\PowerVP\PowerVP_Installation\PowerVP_GUI_Installation\wlp\usr\servers\powervp\logs after you reproduce the error. Looks like you have figured out how to easily move back and forth from the fixpack which is good. BTW, FP4 is due out soon for PowerVP.

As for the second issue, I uninstalled the GUI on Window and reinstalled the base version. The issue went away, but as soon as I applied the FP3 the error returned. Rolled back to base install for now.

Nevermind he first error, that is only on my VIOS, found this which explains why: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas8N1020815

Hi Chris, nice document, made setup a breeze.

I have however some little issues (powervp version 1.1.3.3 Windows GUI and AIX agents):

1) On startup (/etc/rc.d/rc2.d/SPowerVP) I get the following error on both VIOS 2.2.3.50 and AIX 7100-03-05-1524 : pm_set_program_mm : Error allocating memory.
2) When clicking on an LPAR in the GUI I get this error in the new web page: Error 500: javax.servlet.ServletException: com.ibm.wsspi.http.channel.exception.WriteBeyondContentLengthException

Any ideas what could be the issue?

Regards
Chris
